Back for its second year, The Maverick ARUK X-Series Suffolk trail running event takes runners through an unspoilt and largely unventured landscape. The area has a tranquil calming atmosphere and a distinctive character including; wildlife-rich estuaries, ancient heaths, windswept shingle beaches and historic villages. 

The Suffolk AONB is one of the most important wildlife areas in Britain, encompassing three National Nature Reserves and many Sites of Special Scientific Interest including the RSPB’s Minsmere Reserve. The mud-flats and creeks of the AONB’s estuaries contain wetland sites that are wildlife refuges for nightjar, woodlark, and rare heath butterflies. So you will be accompanied on your trail run by an abundance of flora and fauna.

You can be sure that the four routes will challenge you, due to the inclusion of rolling hills and undulating terrain. But rest assured all four routes are perfect for even the least experienced trail runner to become a Maverick for the very first time.

Middle: 24km, +116m
Short: 11km, +51m

Our event village and race start are just 2 hours from the heart of London, so perfect for a short day-trip for a morning of exploring new trails. 

NEW TO 2022 - Ultra and Marathon distances have been added to this event, taking you onto the coastal trails of Hollesley Bay.
