The Maverick Original Dorset event is set in the home of Maverick Race. We’re so proud to call this beautiful part of the UK our home and urge you all - beginners, to experienced trail runners alike- to join us in Dorset for this event.

With three routes around our own personal favourite trails there is a suitable challenge for everyone to give trail running a go and see what Maverick race is all about. We promise you all that no matter which route you choose you will be treated to some of the best scenery and coastlines the UK has to offer. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route.

We head towards the rugged Jurassic coastline, where seabirds soar, and ancient caves litter the coastline. Steeped in Heritage and with more elevation than previous years, there is no possible way that the Maverick Dorset Original event will disappoint.

As a guide you should always:

• Follow the on course signage

• Listen to on course marshals

• Take care when crossing roads

• Be considerate to others

• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!

REGISTRATION

The registration process for each distance is organised with specific time windows to minimise congestion and ensure a smooth experience. During registration, you’ll collect your race number (nothing is sent in advance). It’s recommended to arrive at the beginning of your registration window to avoid queues:

LONG ROUTE - 07:45 - 09:15am

MIDDLE ROUTE - 09:00 - 09:50am

SHORT ROUTE - 09:30 - 10:10am

Please plan your arrival accordingly!

PLASTIC FREE

In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.

OUTPOSTS

There will be no outpost on the Short route. There will be 1 outpost on the Middle route, at approximately 10km. There will be 2 outposts on the Long route, at approximately 10km & 19km. The outposts are designed to act as a top up for what you are already carrying. There will be a range of sweet & savoury snacks (fruit, cake, crisps) as well as gels and electrolyte drink.

There will not be pre-filled water cups available at the outpost. Please have your re-useable cup or bottle ready when you arrive and make use of our self serve water barrels.

Please note, there are no toilets along the run route. There will only be toilets available within the start/finish area.

HEADPHONES

We strongly recommend not wearing headphones at this event.

CUT OFFS

Although we do not have strict cut offs as such, we do appreciate if all runners (regardless of distance) are finished by 2pm. This equates to a finish time of 4hrs.

This helps to ease the pressure on our marshals, so that they are not stood outside for long periods of time.

TRANSFERS

If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.

The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on info@maverick-race.com with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day

PLASTIC FREE

In an effort to keep our trails clean and preserve the nature around us, we’re aiming to keep our outposts cup-free. Please bring a cup or bottle to refill. Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.

HEADPHONES

We strongly recommend not wearing headphones at this event, but if you do want to listen to your tunes whilst on the trials, we recommend bone conduction headphones.

TRANSFERS

If you need to transfer out from this event, you can do this via your Let's Do This account. You can't transfer if the event has sold out.
