The Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Oxfordshire 2023

Saturday 2 December 2023 | Stonor Park

** DOG ENTRIES HAVE NOW SOLD OUT**

The Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Oxfordshire event holds a special place in all our hearts and is back for another year after becoming a treasured member of our event calendar back in 2017.

Our Original series season finale sets off three brand new trail running routes from the 850-years old Manor House of Stonor Park. The estate is home to one of the most ancient deer herds in Britain, so keep your eyes peeled for the graceful fallow deer that have grazed here since medieval times. Out on the trails if you’re lucky you may also spot the rare red kite, which have successfully been saved from national extinction in the area.

All three routes weave through the estate and surrounding Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. However it’s not all a blissful fairy-tale or a chance to spot rare wildlife, there are some ferocious trails to negotiate, with climbs and descents reaching gradients of 22% in parts. You’ll need your head firmly focused on the task ahead to get through some parts of this event. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route.

With three routes on offer, our Original Oxfordshire event ensures that trail runners of abilities will be challenged and we are sure that saying ‘I do’ to this event is something you won’t regret.

HOW IT WORKS

As a guide you should always:

• Follow the on course signage

• Listen to on course marshals

• Take care when crossing roads

• Be considerate to others

• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!

PLASTIC FREE

In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.

OUTPOSTS

There will be no outpost on the short route. There will be 1 outposts on the Middle route (approx 6km) and 2 outposts on the Long route (approx 6km & 13km). The outposts are designed to act as a top up for what you are already carrying. There will be a range of sweet & savoury snacks (fruit, cake, crisps) as well as Precision Hydration fuel & electrolyte.

CUT OFFS

Although we do not have strict cut offs as such, we do appreciate if all runners (regardless of distance) are finished by 2pm. This equates to a finish time of 4hrs.

This helps to ease the pressure on our marshals, so that they are not stood outside for long periods of time.

TRANSFERS

If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.

The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on [email protected] with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day
