After a 7 year hiatus, we are finally back hosting an event in the spectacular Forest of Dean and we have three brand new routes that will make sure it's one hell of a comeback. All routes start from Speech House - a 17th Century Hunting Lodge and Verderers Court - and immediately head into the ancient woodlands of the Forest of Dean.
Regardless of which distance you enter, all routes are predominantly on wide forest tracks which will make for fast running due to it’s largely un-technical nature. However don’t be fooled as there are still plenty of hills, it is a Maverick event after all. All three routes have their fair share of lung-busting ascents and sweeping descents to give your legs a real workout.
We certainly hope you're up for a brand new adventure and that we see you on the start line in the Forest of Dean come May.

This event has sold out. On the day entries will NOT be accepted.
As with all Maverick events you can expect up to 3 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Precision Fuel & Hydration. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.
As a guide you should always:
• Follow the on course signage
• Listen to on course marshals
• Take care when crossing roads
• Be considerate to others
• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!
In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.
The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day
Choose your route carefully. The distance and elevation gain should give you some indication as to how easy/hard each route is, as well as showing you where the tougher climbs are.
In an effort to keep our trails clean and preserve the nature around us, we’re aiming to keep out outposts cup free. Please bring a cup or bottle to re-fill.Get a Maverick Speedcup
