Meet the Team

I first discovered Maverick back in 2020, just before the world hit pause, turning up to Matterley Basin on my own without a clue (or a pair of trail shoes!). I left completely hooked, and since then, trail running has become a big part of my life, alongside competing in multiple 70.3s around the world, cycling up mountains, and more locally discovering new parkruns (whenever there isn’t a Maverick Race!). Having been injured a few times, I discovered that coaching triathlon or volunteering at events can be as rewarding as crossing the finish line. 

I love exploring new routes with my dog Orla (and my husband!), and I’m always on the hunt for a new local coffee spot, so recommendations are very welcome! Neither I nor Orla can resist the water, so you can often find us in a lake or a river splashing and floating around. My husband used to think running for fun was completely mad, but hang around with me long enough, and you’ll discover my love for running is contagious, and he’s just completed his first ultra!

My career path has been a bit of an adventure too, starting in volunteer management across charities and national governing bodies, then designing new activity programmes to get people moving across London before moving into teaching and sports coaching. Alongside my role as Event Staffing Coordinator, I’m also training to be a psychotherapist! I realised I love understanding people and what makes them tick and supporting them to achieve things they never thought they were capable of (and I love a good chat!).

Outside of sport, music is a huge part of my life. I’m a classically trained singer by background and still manage to squeeze in the odd concert here or there. I’m buzzing to be part of the Maverick team and help create the kind of race-day magic that got me hooked in the first place.
