We run free to end modern slavery

Did you know, there are currently 40.3 million people living in modern slavery and an estimated 136,000 people trapped in slavery in the UK. That’s more than any other time in history. 

They’re trapped in factories, businesses, and homes. Making our clothes, serving our food, picking our crops, working in factories, or working in houses as cooks, cleaners, or nannies.

However, the TRIBE community is on a mission to change this.

2022 will be the fourth year in the incredible TRIBE x Maverick Run Free partnership which has seen our communities coming together year after year to take on a new challenge, run free and raise funds to end modern slavery.

Since 2018, we’ve organised six epic trail events from The South Downs to The Surrey Hills, raising over £50,000 to support TRIBE Freedom Foundation and their outstanding charity partners on the front line of survivor support. Over the years, we’ve been joined by a number of TRIBE’s charity partners on the trails and we’ve even enabled one of the survivors supported by TRIBE to take part in their first trail run! Together, we will go further and faster to empower greater numbers of survivors and create a life-changing impact.

That’s why, this September, we’re re-grouping the TRIBE x Maverick teams  - at a brand new site in the Surrey Hills - for our biggest event yet, the TRIBE x Maverick Run Free Marathon +! 

Here’s what to expect:

• **New this year** Marathon and 50 km routes (plus, 10 km and Half Marathon), giving you an all-inclusive trail running experience and the perfect opportunity to take on your longest trail run to date!
• We’re bringing together our favourite brands to fuel you on and off the trails, awesome live music, an incredible post-run feast, and all the TRIBE goodies as you cross the finish line. 
• Four incredible trails across the Surrey Hills AONB await! These routes are set to impress with a stunning mix of magical pine woods, beautiful heaths, epic views, and alpine-like forest trails. We’ll take you through some of the best locations that the Surrey Hills have to offer, such as Pitch Hill, Hurtwood Forest & Leith Hill.
• Early Bird Fundraiser Entry (£20) including awesome fundraiser package with TRIBE rewards, (Limited Edition Tech Tee & Plant-Based Nutrition), Training Plans, and unlimited community support.
