TRIBE x Maverick Run Free

Introducing our biggest TRIBE x Maverick event yet! The TRIBE x Maverick Run Free (Half Marathon and 11K) will take place in the heart of the Surrey Hills Area of Natural Beauty on 2 September 2023.
The incredible trails are a stunning mix of magical pine woods, beautiful heaths, awesome views & alpine-like forest trails, leading you through some of the best locations the Surrey Hills has to offer, from Pitch Hill to Hurtwood Forest. It's the perfect all-inclusive trail running experience & a great opportunity to take to the trails as a team!
If you're looking to get out onto the trails on 2 September but aren't quite up to running the half marathon or the 11km routes, then come along and HIKE the shorter distance with us!
This will be a true community celebration, marking 10 years since the original TRIBE Run for Love, the epic journey which has since inspired thousands of TRIBE runners and everyday adventurers to take on a challenge and raise almost £1.5m to fight modern slavery.
To maximise our impact and rally the whole TRIBE community, we’re subsidising entry to just £15 and calling on all runners to raise at least £35 to support TRIBE Freedom Foundation; to empower the survivors of modern slavery. Together, a small amount of fundraising by everyone can go an incredible distance. As a team, our goal is to raise £20,000. This could help cover a year's total safe house costs for a survivor of modern slavery in one of our TRIBE-funded survivor homes (like Ella’s).
Whether you're organising a bake sale, a raffle or a quiz, there are so many ways to create an impact, rally your friends and family and smash the £35 fundraising target. Plus, we will be on hand to support you at each step of the way!
In return, we will support you with an awesome TRIBE Freedom Foundation fundraising package, including a bespoke 12-week training plan, regular team training sessions & unlimited community support. PLUS, awesome bonus rewards as you hit key milestones:

HOW IT WORKS
As with all Maverick events you can expect up to 2 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by TRIBE. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.
As a guide you should always:
• Follow the on course signage
• Listen to on course marshals
• Take care when crossing roads
• Be considerate to others
• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!
PLASTIC FREE
In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.
TRANSFERS
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only.
You will need to cover the difference to enter another event as entries have been subsidised by TRIBE Freedom Foundation.
We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.
The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on info@maverick-race.com with the name of the event you would like to move too. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day.
The Routes
Choose your route carefully. The distance and elevation gain should give you some indication as to how easy/hard each route is, as well as showing you where the tougher climbs are.

Headphones are not permitted. You must be fully aware of your surroundings at all times, which includes on road sections and approaching marshals.

Nearest Train Station: Chilworth (18 mins drive from start venue) Or Shalford (30min public bus from start venue)
