The Maverick Adidas TERREX Original Surrey event starts in the historic National trust grounds of the Edwardian country house of Polseden Lacey. Starting in the heart of the Polesden Lacey estate the three routes consisting of long gradual climbs, alpine-like forests, technical descents and stunning views, await for trail runners of all abilities looking for a challenge.
Our Original Surrey event may be nestled within the grounds of a peaceful picture-perfect estate, but don’t be deceived, as all three routes have a serious amount of twists, turn, up and downs that will require some fierce leg work.
All three routes take you on an adventure through ancient woodlands, the notorious Surrey hills and onto the North downs Way. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route.
The Maverick Race Surrey events are amongst our most popular events of the season due to their proximity to London, with direct trains from London Waterloo to Dorking taking less than 1 hour, or the drive being 90 minutes from London City straight to the race start.
DIFFICULTY
Chalky trails, some good climbs with some technical descents - well suited to all levels of runner.

The Routes
Choose your route carefully. The distance and elevation gain should give you some indication as to how easy/hard each route is, as well as showing you where the tougher climbs are.
HOW IT WORKS
As with all Maverick events you can expect up to 3 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Precision Fuel & Hydration. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.
As a guide you should always:
• Follow the on course signage
• Listen to on course marshals
• Take care when crossing roads
• Be considerate to others
• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!
PLASTIC FREE
In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.
TRANSFERS
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.
The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on info@maverick-race.com with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day
Bring your own cup
In an effort to keep our trails clean and preserve the nature around us, we’re aiming to keep our outposts cup free. Please bring a cup or bottle to re-fill.
