The Maverick ARUK Original Suffolk 2023
The Maverick ARUK Original Suffolk 2023
Saturday 28 October 2023 | Wantisden Hall
Back for its third year, you will be running through an unspoilt and largely unventured landscape. The area has a tranquil calming atmosphere and a distinctive character including; wildlife-rich estuaries, ancient heaths, windswept shingle beaches and historic villages. The Suffolk AONB is one of the most important wildlife areas in Britain, encompassing three National Nature Reserves and many Sites of Special Scientific Interest including the RSPB’s Minsmere Reserve. The mud flats and creeks of the AONB’s estuaries contain wetland sites that are wildlife refuges for nightjar, woodlark, and rare heath butterflies. So you will be accompanied on your trail run by an abundance of flora and fauna.
You can be sure that the three routes will challenge you, due to the inclusion of rolling hills and undulating terrain. But rest assured all three routes are perfect for even the least experienced trail runner to become a Maverick for the very first time. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route.
Our event village and race starts is just 2 hours from the heart of London, so perfect for a short day trip for a morning of exploring new trails.
Long: 24 km
Middle: 17 km
Short: 9 km

In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.
The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on email@example.com with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day
Choose your route carefully. The distance and elevation gain should give you some indication as to how easy/hard each route is, as well as showing you where the tougher climbs are.
