The Maverick Adidas Terrex Dorset Original event is set in the home of Maverick Race. We’re so proud to call this beautiful part of the UK our home and urge you all - beginners, to experienced trail runners alike- to join us in Dorset for this event.
With three routes around our own personal favourite trails there is a suitable challenge for everyone to give trail running a go and see what Maverick race is all about. We promise you all that no matter which route you choose you will be treated to some of the best scenery and coastlines the UK has to offer. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route.
We head towards the rugged Jurassic coastline, where seabirds soar, and ancient caves litter the coastline. Steeped in Heritage and with more elevation than previous years, there is no possible way that the Maverick Adidas Terrex Dorset Original event will disappoint.

Online entry closes on Wednesday 12th June 2024 at 12:00 noon. On the day entries will be available if the event is not sold out.
All entries are subject to a small booking fee.
Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

HOW IT WORKS
As a guide you should always:
• Follow the on course signage
• Listen to on course marshals
• Take care when crossing roads
• Be considerate to others
• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!
PLASTIC FREE
In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.
OUTPOSTS
There will be no outpost on the Short route. There will be 1 outpost on the Middle route, at approximately 10km. There will be 2 outposts on the Long route, at approximately 10km & 21.5km. The outposts are designed to act as a top up for what you are already carrying. There will be a range of sweet & savoury snacks (fruit, cake, crisps) as well as Precision Hydration fuel & electrolyte.
HEADPHONES
We strongly recommend not wearing headphones at this event.
CUT OFFS
Although we do not have strict cut offs as such, we do appreciate if all runners (regardless of distance) are finished by 2pm. This equates to a finish time of 4hrs.
This helps to ease the pressure on our marshals, so that they are not stood outside for long periods of time.
TRANSFERS
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.
The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on info@maverick-race.com with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day

Choose your route carefully. The distance and elevation gain should give you some indication as to how easy/hard each route is, as well as showing you where the tougher climbs are.
