The Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Kent 2023
EVENT CANCELLED
We regret to inform you that the Original Kent Race has been cancelled due to adverse weather which has made the venue parking areas unusable. All participants have been contacted via text and email. We are devastated to not be able to deliver this event. However, we are committed to holding events at the highest standard possible, with runner safety and enjoyment at the core of our values.
We appreciate this will be disappointing and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Cruise along the wooded trails of the Pilgrims Way before climbing up to join the North Downs Way, and enjoy the sights of the Wealdway trail heading back to the event village. There’s plenty of beautiful woodland and rolling hills on all 3 routes, with those on the Long route taking in the sights of the Darnley Mausoleum through Cobham woods and the sweeping hills of the Luddesdown vineyard. Please note, there is no outpost on the Short route.
We cannot wait to welcome you all back to another stunning event in Kent.
Please note, the bus transfer from Meopham Station to the venue is now full so we are not able to take any further bookings.
The Routes
Choose your route carefully. The distance and elevation gain should give you some indication as to how easy/hard each route is, as well as showing you where the tougher climbs are.
HOW IT WORKS
As with all Maverick events you can expect up to 3 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Precision Fuel & Hydration. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.
As a guide you should always:
• Follow the on course signage
• Listen to on course marshals
• Take care when crossing roads
• Be considerate to others
• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!
PLASTIC FREE
In our quest to make this season plastic-free, we ask that you run with a reusable cup or bottle. Hydrapak Speed Cups are available to purchase at each event and online.
TRANSFERS
If for any reason you wish to transfer out from an event we are happy to do this, but once only. You may transfer to any event listed on our website or even change to a higher value event and pay the difference. We cannot action any transfers or refunds for an event that has sold out.
The last day to transfer out of an event is the Monday before event day (5 days before the event), please email us on info@maverick-race.com with the name of the event you would like to move to. We are not able to move you out of an event if you contact us after this day
Bring your own cup
In an effort to keep our trails clean and preserve the nature around us, we’re aiming to keep our outposts cup free. Please bring a cup or bottle to re-fill.
