Run Leaders for the Maverick Run Project are the people who make our social runs possible. They know their local area better than we do so they go out and find routes that they think you'll enjoy. Below is the information about the Run Leader for this particular social run.
I've loved running since taking part in my first track race at school over 40 years ago. I enjoy the freedom it gives me and the opportunities to meet new and different people wherever I go. Over the years I've run cross country, trail and road (5k to Marathon) and always appreciated the sense of community and support there is.
Recently I've spent more time running the trails as it's kinder on my body plus I can take time to enjoy the views and explore different places.
My favourite place to run is along the beautiful Dorset coastline and in particular with my daughter even though she's too fast for me now!
In 2020 I did a couple of Triathlons. I've also been a volunteer coach for 18 years with the Junior section of my local running club.
I qualified as a sports massage therapist in 2012 partly for my own interest and also to help me understand and look after my body better!
When I'm not running you'll find me doing yoga or in my garden.
Hey, I'm Becky and I'm a trail runner and obstacle course racer from the South Coast. I've been taking part in lots of different types of running for over 20 years but don't think I'll ever leave the trails!
I've been fortunate to spend time running on the beach with my parents (including MRP Jane!) and last year I managed to get some races in! When I'm not running or climbing on things I am an Exercise Physiology University Lecturer :)
I'm looking forward to sharing the trails together soon!
