Princes Risborough School

We head to Buckinghamshire for another new Maverick inov-8 Original Series event, nestled in the heart of England this route really delivers on all levels, you will find yourself winding through ancient woodland, steeped in history with incredible views over the surrounding Chiltern hills AONB, Whist running you will be greeted with the sound of Red Kites soaring high above. You will find yourselves running on various famous routes such as the Icknield Way, which is a one of the oldest roads in Britain, it consist of Prehistoric pathways, already old when the Romans set foot upon it. Its survives now as splendid green lanes.

The route starts off with nice climb up to whiteleaf hill, where you will see the famous white leaf chalk cross, and again stunning views of the surrounding area. A section of the long route takes you to a viewpoint where you can see the famous 16th Century country home of the prime minister “Chequers.

With routes to choose from the new Buckinghamshire route is one for the calendar in 2019, with exceptionally good transport links from London and surrounding areas there is no excuse!...

As with all Maverick events you can expect up to 3 on-course hydration and nutrition outposts provided by Precision Hydration & TRIBE. There will also be prizes for the winners of each distance, male and female.

As a guide you should always:

• Listen to on course marshals

• Take care when crossing roads

• Be considerate to others

• Please close all gates, DO NOT litter!
